    Name: Shannon Flanagan

Role: Section Chair, Planning Committee Chair, Newsletter Editor

Current employment: Director, QRC, Getinge - High Purity New England

What has been the biggest benefit of your ASQ/RIASQ membership? The biggest benefit of my RIASQ membership has been the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with professionals who are just as passionate about quality as I am. The connections I've made through conversations, collaboration, and shared learnings have become an invaluable network of support, insight, and inspiration

What are you looking forward to most in connecting with RIASQ members this year? I can't wait to hear feedback from members on their learning and event interests! We're here to ensure all members are getting value out of their membership - how can we better engage and support you?

If you could give one piece of advice to quality professionals at any stage in their careers, what would it be? Take every opportunity to learn and grow, not just in Quality but in soft skills and business knowledge. Most employees are looking for more than just technically strong Quality professionals; they want well-rounded and cross-functionally knowledgeable professionals.

What's something RIASQ members might be surprised to learn about you? I'm a Yankees fan. Yes, I know that just put a target on back! I transplanted in this area, so don't hold it against me!

    Name: Christopher Cinieri

    Role: Treasurer

Current employment: Project Manager, Polaris MEP

What has been the biggest benefit of your ASQ/RIASQ membership? The greatest benefit of my membership has been the opportunities it has created. Through ASQ/RIASQ, I've built meaningful professional relationships and engaged in rewarding volunteer experiences that have helped me grow both personally and professionally.

What are you looking forward to most in connecting with RIASQ members this year? We have an exciting lineup of new events planned this year, and I'm looking forward to sharing these opportunities with our members. We've also been actively listening to feedback on our existing programs and are committed to delivering fresh, relevant content that continues to add value to our community.

If you could give one piece of advice to quality professionals at any stage in their careers, what would it be? Never stop learning. A mentor once advised me to continue taking classes throughout my career - whether in mathematics, accounting, leadership, or another discipline. The ongoing process of learning and applying new skills will continually strengthen and expand your professional capabilities.

What's something RIASQ members might be surprised to learn about you? In addition to playing guitar, I enjoy repairing and modifying them as well. It's a hobby that allows me to combine craftsmanship with problem-solving - quality never stops!
