Overview:
The focus of the meeting will be on the Zero-Defect Plan (ZDP) used at Collins Aerospace. The plan lays out a world-class process to help identify root causes of defects and use a process to systemically eliminate them. The basics of the ZDP can be deployed in automotive, medical device, and various industrial processes.
The aerospace industry continues to demand an ever-increasing quality signature from its value stream with acceptable performance targets progressing from 5000 to 1000 to 500 to 50 PPM. With highly complex high product mix and low volume product base the classic quality approaches had reached a point of diminishing returns. ZDP is a world-class process developed in response to this market demand. It has been successful in delivering significant step improvements in quality performance.

Irén Muzsi has been working in the aerospace Industry at Collins Aerospace (formally United Technologies Company) for 6 years.
· In 2020 she joined the ZDP Execution Engineering team in Supplier Quality and Development with focus on successful implementation and management of quality control systems at suppliers in New-England and abroad.
· Over the last 3 years, Irén has managed and driven down defects on assigned Domestic and International Suppliers for Military and Commercial parts utilizing the Zero-Defect Methodologies.
· Irén is working closely with each supplier in various stages of performance to ensure finished parts/LRU (like replaceable units, aka parts in the field) deliveries comply with ZDP Processes while ensuring that products meet all quality standards.
· Prior to her current role, Irén held various engineering roles including Quality Engineer, Supplier Quality Engineer, and Manufacturing Engineer across multiple industries including Automotive, Firearm, and Aerospace.
