This presentation will take you on a journey into a company’s transformation in just 6 months and how this will be sustainable.
Mill Rock Packaging acquired several companies across the US from Renton WA, SLC UT, Aurora Colorado, St Paul and Hutchinson Minnesota and South Windsor Connecticut. In January 2023, the company launched a continuous improvement lean journey transforming the company into a Lean 6 Sigma platform in just six months. How is this possible, you ask? Come hear how this was formed and put into play. These key tools and processes will help you in your journey and transformation.
Speaker Biography:
Fred Cramer is the Platform Continuous Improvement and Quality Manager for Mill Rock Packaging Inc. He has held roles as a Director, Manager and Engineer with 24 years of experience helping companies develop and deliver high quality electronics, consumer products and packaging. Previous employers include Amazon, Qualitel, Danaher/Fluke, Solectron, Mackie Designs, Pacific Market International PMI (Stanley and Aladdin brands) and the US Air Force. He has supported design development and manufacturing of products for Mill Rock Packaging, Qualitel, Danaher/Fluke, Starbucks, Oster, Tupperware, and others. Additionally, he has twelve years of experience with Asian manufacturing supporting plastics, metals, and electronic products. This included international travel to China, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, India, Cape Town South Africa, Costa Rica, and Europe.
Fred has also been a member American Society for Quality ASQ for 20 years. This included two years as the Seattle section Chair, two years as Vice-Chair, two years as Nominations Chair and over ten years as Programs Chair. He also led a team to develop the self-assessment BoK matrix for the new ASQ Learning Institute in 2006. Fred also led the team of 120 volunteers at the 2018 WCQI conference in Seattle Washington. He has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Washington, ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE), Certified HACCP Processor, internal auditor, Food Safety in FSSC 22000, FAA Repair Station, Aerospace, Medical Device, Rebuilding Quality Management Systems, Sustainability to include FSC and SFI certifications, lean manufacturing Lean 6 Sigma methodology and transformation.
