ASQ / ANSI:G1 Designated Examiner Training
Classes on: Mar. 13 &14; Mar. 20 & 21, 2024 Event Time: 10:30 AM CDT - 3:30 PM CDT Event Location: Online - Webex
Registration is now open for training to earn a Designated Examiner certificate, issued by the ASQ Government Division. This course is designed to train and prepare individuals as Designed Examiners who will be examining/evaluating various government operations using the ASQ/ANSI G1:2021 standard, entitled Guidelines for Quality of Government Operations and Services.
The class is offered by webinar and is scheduled for five hours a day over four days, including March 13, 14, 20 and 21. There is a $650 registration fee that includes all materials.
The class includes five major sections of material, as follows:
- Workflows and structured system mapping
- Maturity modeling and scorecards
- System maturity scoring
- Process maturity scoring
- Organizational alignment and certification
Those who complete the training will earn a Designated Examiner certificate and will be able to review and score the quality practice of applicant organizations.
The class requires a pre- and post-training exam, and a score of 70% or higher on the post-training exam for award of the Designated Examiner status. The trainer is Richard E. Mallory, MM, CQA, PMP, who was one of the lead authors in establishment of the standard.
There are two professional pre-requisites to formal designation as follows:
- Formal training and certification in quality science, or; two years’ career experience in the application of quality science
- Formal training or certification in Audit or Program Evaluation, such as the ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) designation, OR a minimum of two-years’ experience in the professional audit and/or operational review.
