  • 1.  Proprietary Process and Risk Data

    I'm looking for some feedback regarding how most companies are assessing risk when their suppliers are unwilling to share key documents such as DFMEA's, FMEA's, Control Plans and Process Flow Diagrams?  Is it typical for a supplier to claim that these documents are proprietary?  Are their any recommendations for how to best handle these situations?

    Hi Valerie.

    Is your company responsible for the final product? What kind of suppliers do you have? How criticals your suppliers are?

    I think the key point is the first question. Do you own the disign and regulatory responsibility?
