About the Speaker
For almost 25 years, Sonny has provided auditing, training and engineering support to the automotive, manufacturing, military/space, chemical and gas industries.
Sonny assisted many clients in developing and implementing ISO 9001/IATF16949 quality management systems and performed quality awareness training, including APQP, SPC and FMEA. In addition he conducted more than 1000 third-party certification audits that covered a range of design and manufacturing activities, primarily in the automotive supply chain.
During his career, Sonny has had the distinction of taking part in the world's largest ISO 9000/QS-9000 certification program, which included auditing all Ford and Visteon plants in North America, plus engineering/support activities in Canada, Mexico, Brazil and Japan.
The skills Sonny has developed in third-party auditing, SPC and project engineering allow him to help customers reach their business process improvement goals quickly and efficiently.
He offers a valuable dual perspective: knowing how systems can be optimized from an assessor's point of view and finding improvements through the evaluation of engineering designs, cost reduction proposals and best manufacturing methods.
CREDENTIALSSonny earned his Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.
He is an IRCA-registered ISO 9000 Lead Auditor, and is a Certified Manufacturing Engineer through the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.
Sonny has been a registered ISO/TS16949 auditor since 1999, now IATF16949.
He also has been certified as a Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence, Quality Engineer and Quality Auditor through the American Society of Quality.
