Throughout my career, I have noticed some similar aspects that each of the organizations that I have worked have done to enable process design success and also process design failures. Ed Deming once stated that “process design is responsible for 80% of all defects. And process design is leadership’s responsibility.” So why do organizations allow process to fail so often? We will explore the current state of different types ways organizations design processes. And discuss different ways organizations can proactively increase their process success through a better process design method.
