This webinar will provide a case study of the multi-year quality improvement effort of the Clerk’s Office of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, Washington DC, and its recent recognition for a Silver Level Award for Performance Excellence. The award was given by the ASQ Government Division and its Center for Quality Standards in Government. It reflects certification of operations and results of the Clerk’s Office as assessed by the ASQ/ANSI G1:2021 Guidelines for Evaluating the Quality of Government Operations and Services. This certification level reflects the systematic use of the standard’s system and process maturity models to improve the services of the court over a two-year period. The Clerk’s Office is the first government agency to be certified at any level under the G1 standard.

The award reports noted significant operational improvements over the two-year period, including large reductions in case processing time throughout FY2021 as well as a systematic development of a quality management and data analysis system Join us as Jarrett explains how these improvements to the court’s case processing system were accomplished over a five-year period.
