Stratasys is currently seeking a Quality Lab Technician to join our Eden Prairie Quality department. This department works in the manufacturing of 3D printers and materials. In this role you will be responsible for evaluating, implementing, and monitoring quality using laboratory analysis tools and documentation systems. You will conduct regular checks to ensure quality processes are being followed in all steps of the material development process. A couple other duties will include:
- Perform testing, interpret experimental data, and communicate results
- Support Engineering with product characterization
- Maintain inventory of lab supplies and maintain cleanliness
- Troubleshoot and lead root cause analysis for testing and instrumental issues.
As a part of Stratasys, this position requires access to information and/or technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (or, green card holder), protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
- Associates/Technical degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of experience with analytical, mechanical, and thermal testing
- Proficient experience in testing and analysis of test results in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in polymer or additive manufacturing
- Experience with instruments such as tensile and flexural mechanical testing, DSC, MFI, rheology, microscopy, etc.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: 5% local travel
