We're looking for exceptional talent to join our Quality Department for a dedicated and honest-minded professional who likes to provide practical solutions. Our Quality Department focuses on auditing, calibrating, data-mining, and problem-solving of process and products. As the Quality Specialist, you will interact regularly with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Customers to establish, document, evaluate, and disposition product and process performance in accordance with AS9100, internal, and customer requirements. This position reports directly to the Quality Manager, is open immediately, and offers a highly competitive salary.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (*Essential Functions)
*Lead the deployment of customer and internal guidelines
*Lead and participate in Root Cause Corrective Activities
*Responsible for the management and reduction of non-conformities on one or more Product lines
*Responsible for the management and reduction of reworks on one or more Product lines
*Use appropriate tools to analyze data, make sense of it, and recommend process improvements to the Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering departments
*Gather materials for periodic testing
*Independently perform lab testing to established tests procedures in line with laboratory standards
*Write and distribute test reports
Ensure Document Control by reviewing and releasing procedures and forms
Participate in the Change Management Process, and review and approve corresponding documentation (Work Instruction, Form 9)
Maintain and improve the Quality Alert Process
Support the Archiving Process
Support the Calibration Process
Prepare and present reports internally and to the customer on process and product status and improvement activities
Conduct appropriate Operator, QMS, product, and process audits
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree in appropriate science, engineering, or engineering technology field; or, 3+ years of manufacturing experience as a manufacturing engineer; or, equivalent combination of education and experience required
Experience with lean manufacturing and/or 6 Sigma techniques
Experience in leading DMAIC, FMEA, R&R, 8D, and analyzing results
Proficiency in Business Intelligence tools, PowerB1 in particular
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint
Extensive experience with AS9100 or ISO9001 implementation and auditing
Working knowledge of MSA techniques
Excellent oral and written communication skills
