Topic: The Evolution of Enterprise Resource Planning
Speaker: Honey Johnson, CFPIM, CIRM, C.P.M., CSCP, CLTD, CTSC - MSS Technologies
Have you ever wondered how Enterprise Resource Planning systems evolved?
In the 1970’s and 80’s planning systems had limited focus and little visibility to other organizational needs. As computer processing improved, so did the scope and breadth of planning. Today’s integrated enterprise resource planning systems can now provide comprehensive plans that span the supply chain. What does the future of planning hold? There are many things modern ERP systems can accomplish that many folks do not even realize are possible. In this session we will explore some new functionality of ERP systems and discuss some of the opportunities to improve your supply chain with this functionality. Join us for a discussion of the Past, Present and Future of ERP.
