- Today it seems we hear about a new data breach every week.
However, we rarely understand what the cause of the breech was or how we can protect our and the company’s information beyond the basics.
To better understand information security and data breaches,
-- this presentation will be focus on the following:
--- What is Information Security?
--- What are some of the recent data breaches and how did they happen?
--- What can we do to manage the inherent risk of the internet and no longer having physical control of our data
- Speaker Bio:
- Deborah Behl has been in information and cyber security for over 25 years.
During her tenure, she has worked in numerous organizations providing information security compliance and risk management guidance to increase the over cyber security posture.
She has been involved in cyber security risk and compliance for federal, state, local governments, in non-profit healthcare and currently works in the finance industry.
Deborah has a B.A in Business Management from University of Phoenix
M.S. Information Technology with an emphasis in Cyber and Information Assurance,
She also maintains professional certifications from ISC2 as Certification Information Systems Security Professional and Certified in Governance Risk and Compliance
