"Using Document Lifecycles to Assist in Managing Development Projects"

Abstract: Moving a product through the development phase into the commercial phase can be driven by leveraging a common company process. Throughout the product lifecycle, many documents are generated. Document Tracking can serve as a project management tool that will minimize dependence on human memory and provide a view into future project steps. This can be a valuable tool to a certified PMP (Project Management Professional).

Take Aways:

  • Learn how to actively drive development projects through the document management process
  • Explore how to integrate documents as milestones into a simple project plan
  • Convert sequential tasks into concurrent tasks to shorten the overall timeline
  • Change reactivity into proactivity
