Ron will walk us through foundational statistical principles,
including:

  • What is a statistic
  • The three elements of any group of numbers
  • Alpha and Beta risks
  • Statistical significance
  • Practical applications of statistics in quality

With 50 years of experience, Ron brings exceptional depth and perspective to the field. His career began under the personal mentorship of Dr. W. Edwards Deming and Dr. Joseph M. Juran, two of the most influential leaders in the history of quality. Ron holds a BS in Chemistry and Mathematics from Cleveland State University. Ron is also a military veteran serving with the 1st Air Cavalry in Vietnam.

Ron has been a member of ASQ/ASQC since 1976, Ron has earned multiple ASQ certifications, including:

  • Manager of Quality / Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE)
  • Master Black Belt (CMBB)
  • Quality Auditor (CQA)
  • Quality Engineer (CQE)
  • Reliability Engineer (CRE)
