ASQ Inspection Division Offers CERTIFIED QUALITY INSPECTOR Certification Preparation – June 2024
This Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) refresher training is a 16 contact hour review delivered over four days. It is designed and taught to help experienced inspectors prepare for the CQI exam. It is intended to help the learner become thoroughly familiar with the complete Body of Knowledge by understanding the content covered by the four main domains in the ASQ CQI BoK. This is an instructor led virtual class.
The Certified Quality Inspector is an inspector who, in support of and under the direction of quality engineers, supervisors, or technicians, can use the proven techniques included in the body of knowledge. Under professional direction, the Quality Inspector evaluates hardware documentation, performs laboratory procedures, inspects products, measures process performance, records data and prepares formal reports.
Why become certified? Becoming a Certified Quality Inspector allows you to broaden your knowledge base beyond what you might do at your job. It provides you with third party recognition of your skills and abilities which may help you stand out from other inspectors, whether going for that promotion at your current job, or looking to change jobs or companies. This certification may also become a springboard for other certifications in your career path such as the Certified Quality Technician, Certificated Calibration Technician, Certified Quality Engineer or others as you grow in your career.
Attendees of this course should have some prior knowledge of statistics, metrology, calibration, and inspection and test, as this course is designed as a review of the subject areas needed for the CQI exam.
