Speaker:

Tracy Omdahl – ASQ Certified, ASQ Member for 42 years.

A Volunteer and Risk Analyst for the INSTITUTE FOR THE PREVENTION OF HUMAN EXTINCTION, Tracy, now retired, has worked in many different industries in his career. Tracy currently has 14 ASQ certifications and in 1999 was recognized among the first to have all ASQ certifications available then.  Tracy was then humorously named by ASQ Section 1509 as the “King of Quality.” Tracy’s current publications in print include the long selling assurance dictionary series, the “Quality Dictionary” and the “Reliability, Availability and Maintainability Dictionary” among others. A Viet Nam era US Army veteran, Tracy attended the US Military Academy at West Point, the Army Academy of Health Sciences, the University of Nevada at Reno, the University of Connecticut, Yale University, and has been an Advisor to the UCF Mechanical Engineering senior projects using green energy. Tracy cofounded the Valencia Community College assurance course program in 1992. In line with today’s presentation, Tracy has performed or assessed several thousand FMEAs.

Tracy missed his calling as a stand-up comedian and when he’s not volunteering for assurance projects, he is a devoted grandfather and caretaker for his wife.
