Toyota's Built-in-Quality Recipe and a case study

Abstract:

Toyota's Built-in-Quality Recipe and a case study on how I personally facilitated a week-long kaizen workshop at a supplier - based on the Shingijutsu recipe - as the VP of Lean 6-Sigma and Quality. This effort improved this supplier's PPM from 26000 to 500 in 4 months to my prior employer Commercial Vehicle Group (CVG). CVG is a key global tier one auto supplier to on-highway trucks, buses, ambulance, and fire trucks (key customers: Daimler, Volvo, Navistar, Hino), as well as off-high vehicles in construction, ag, and military purposes (key customers: Caterpillar, Deere, Volvo, Komatsu, JCB, etc.)
