About the Presentation:

Title: Efficient and Effective DFMEAs

DFMEAs have been touted as significant ‘Value Add’ activities. Yet when actually reviewed, some managers express doubt of the value of the resources expended vs. the insight discovered. The speaker discusses elements of the DFMEA activity where Brainstorming can be replaced with Objective analysis, and a logical building of each step on the previous activity. Thus, the analysis will result in a more complete coverage of the product under review, while expending fewer resources. Also, with a more Objective, repeatable process (i.e. less variation) “Continuous Improvement’ techniques can be leveraged as the organization grows and matures in their use of this tool. Also discussed are some Proactive Processes vs. Reactive Activities that would further enhance the Efficiency of this Risk Management tool.

Who should attend:
Reliability Engineers, Design Assurance Engineers, Design Engineers, Design and Quality Managers.
