Description of the course - This course prepares you for performing internal quality audits using various quality reference standards ( ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements / internal procedures, work instructions, etc.). The following areas will be covered in this course:
- How to perform Desktop audit,
- Prepare checklists,
- Opening and closing meetings
- Reviewing and analyzing documented evidence
- How to issue Corrective Action Requests
- Preparing audit reports
- Closing the audit
About the instructor
The course will be provided by Sunil Shahane ( CQE, CQA).
Sunil has a mechanical engineering background with a master’s degree in Management Science. He has 30 years of experience in both the private and government sectors. His work experience spans from areas of management, engineering, and product design to quality engineering, quality assurance, and supplier audits. Sunil had a great opportunity to work with various industries including diesel engine manufacturing, diesel engine power generation, automotive, aerospace, plastic molding, plastic extrusion, and high-end garden and carpentry tools manufacturing. Sunil is ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and auditor (CQA). He has been volunteering as an education chair with the ASQ Ottawa section and has been teaching ASQ CQA exam preparation courses for over 10 years.
