Leader standard work includes creating an environment that allows frontline workers to explore how to improve their work. A component of that is asking good coaching questions. Coaching questions can stimulate independent thinking as well as improve problem-solving skills. When frontline workers are asked coaching questions, they become part of the problem-solving effort. So, instead of only continuous improvement and quality professionals troubleshooting issues, you now have an army of problem solvers.
