In the same way that quality isn’t an isolated department within an organization, but rather an approach that is an inherent part of company culture, accessibility should be considered in every aspect of the workplace. Here is a list of six steps you can take to make your work more accessible to your disabled colleagues. Even if you are not in a managerial or executive position, you can advocate for accessibility. Integrate accessibility into meetings that you organize and facilitate, make it an aspect of your process creation and improvement, and advocate for it when planning workplace events. Accessibility should be part of every process, not an afterthought.
