  • 1.  Documentation of Planning Actions for Objectives

My question is related to a Clarification of Intent regarding clause 6.2 of ISO 9001:2015.

In the Standard, Section 6.2.1 requires that “The organization shall maintain documented information on the quality objectives”. Under Section 6.2.2, the organization is required to determine six Planning Actions, but does not state that these Planning Actions need to be documented.

My question is whether the requirement to have documentation in 6.2.1 applies to 6.2.2 as well?

    Thanks for the support!

    Hi,

No standard does not require any documented information for action plans(6.2.2), however as an 5-year lead auditor I request at leats evidences regarding with what was done, who was assigned, what resources were allocated, when it was completed and how the results of actions were evaluated.
