question from today's call
Good morning

Karen Maskell‍  ;  Trish Borzon‍

Thank you for facilitating the call today.  I posed a question on the chat, but unfortunately time ran out before it could be addressed, so I am shifting to this forum.  Would you consider making the Annual Business Meeting, 2019 Annual Financial Report, and ASQ BoD Minutes from 2020 available through myASQ?  The ASQ Bylaws require these to be provided to the membership within the year, so if a live face-to-face Annual Business Meeting cannot be arranged, could myASQ be leveraged to provide this virtually to the membership?

My question/ suggestion for increasing myASQ traffic among ASQ's Communities.  Since ASQ owes the members  an Annual Business Meeting, the 2019 Annual Financial Report, and the last 2 BoD Meeting Minutes, I propose that myASQ serve as the forum and conduit for these exchanges (similar to the interactions with the virtual WCQI).

Hi Daniel Zrymiak‍  - (just showing how the quote and @ function work :D
I know they're looking into having a virtual annual meeting as part of 4.0 this fall.  I believe that will be when they share the 2019 financial reports as well, since it's essentially replacing the May meeting.  I'm not sure which platform they'll be using yet, but their may be some portion on myASQ. The meeting minutes can be found at https://asq.org/about-asq/how-we-do-it/bod-min-full.  I believe this "About ASQ" area will remain the primary resource are for the minutes and governance documents, since there's not a file resource area in the global portion of myASQ.  https://asq.org/about-asq/how-we-do-it/documents
More details about the meeting will be available as we figure it out :)  These times require us all to thing differently.
Hope this helps - let me know if you have any questions.

HI Trish Borzon‍

great display of messaging versatility, bravo!

Typically the Annual Financial report has been posted in June and the BoD minutes are made available after their approval at subsequent meetings.  Since there was a BoD meeting in June, I was hoping that both items would have been posted in July 2020, in the interest of the Financial Transparency commitment made by Austin Lin‍ during his WCQI address.

Thank you for your response, which actually represents the first indication of the timing for these and other updates and reports from ASQ Leadership/HQ to our membership.

Hi Daniel Zrymiak‍
It's always a part of the annual business meeting, so the timing is a bit off this year because of Covid-19.  We are in the early stages of planning the annual business meeting and the 2019 financials delivered by our treasurer is part of the agenda.

I see 2 June BoD meeting minutes loaded now.  The second contains the vote on the suspension for 2020 only of the monthly allotment payouts.

Since these meetings are probably virtual and things are changing so quickly perhaps the Board can meet more frequently? Nov seems so far away.
