What: Awards and Recognition Keynote Topic - Quality 4.0
Our Quality world is changing almost as fast as the rest of the organization. That is a good thing. Grace Duffy, ASQ Board member and past Chair of the ASQ Quality Management Division, shares her perspective on how our quality profession and department may evolve over the next 5 years. Fresh off the ASQ World Conference on Quality and Improvement, Grace will look at the ramifications of Quality 4.0 and the changes in human factors perspective to see where our quality departments may be in 5 years.
The organization is made up of three major components, Business, Technology, and the Human Element. Grace looks at each of these components and how we, as quality professionals, can position ourselves to be most effective in the new working environment. It does not matter whether the quality department is a separate function in 5 years, or whether we are integrated into other organizational functions, such as operations, or finance. Who we are and what we do is still critical for continual improvement toward Best Practice.
Who: Grace Duffy, MBA, President, Management & Performance Systems
Grace has over 45 years’ experience in successful business and process management in corporate, government, education, and healthcare. Grace uses her experience as President, CEO, and senior manager to help organizations improve. She has authored 15 texts, additional book chapters, and many articles on quality, leadership, and organizational performance. She is a frequent speaker and trainer. Grace holds an MBA from Georgia State University. She is an ASQ CMQ/OE, CQIA, SSGB, and CQA. Grace is a LSS Master Black Belt, ASQ Fellow and Distinguished Service Medalist. Grace is the recipient of both the Quality Magazine Professional of the Year and the Asia-Pacific Quality Organization Miflora M. Gatchalian International Woman in Quality Medal.
