The Certified Medical Device Auditor (CMDA) is a professional who understand the standards and Regulatory requirements of auditing medical device manufacturers in addition to understanding the auditing techniques of examining, questioning, evaluating, and reporting to medical device quality systems’ adequacy and deficiencies. This includes understanding the global medical device regulations, bio compatibility, sterilization, risk management and medical device testing requirements as a medical device auditor.

Note: Primary Study Materials: Quality Council of Indiana’s CBA Primer and CBA Solution Text which all students must have a copy of, while attending these Certification Preparation sessions. Additional Study materials may be needed to cover added topics from CBA to CMDA and to cover gaps in your medical device background. Those who qualify to take the exam and have a background in the prescribed Body of Knowledge will need to spend at least 3-5 hours preparing for each of the 5 CMDA Sessions.
