Artificial Intelligence: The Past, Present, and Future

What is Artificial Intelligence (AI)? What are its origins, what can it do now, and what could it be capable of in the future? In this exploration of cutting edge technology, we will show off how AI is used for work and for play, and separate science fact from science fiction where it comes to thinking computers and machine learning.


Speaker Biography

Elliot Witt is the Assistant Manager of Digital Services at the Aurora Public Library District. He has presented library technology programs on topics ranging from 3D printers to educational databases. He is passionate about community engagement and is proud to serve a diverse and thriving city in Aurora. Elliot grew up in the Fox Valley area in Sugar Grove. He has a lifelong love of learning, particularly in the fields of science and history, and in his spare time is an avid reader of science fiction.
