Is Your Culture Built to Optimize Organizational Systems
Since 1987, the Performance Excellence Framework has been updated every two years to keep current with leading-edge organizational best practices that drive higher levels of performance. Cultures supporting high performance don’t just happen. Rather, they are intentionally and purposefully created to to fuel collaboration and to gain a competitive edge to better meet customer and workforce requirements, while achieving critical strategic and operational objectives.
Theron Post, MBA, CQM/OE, National Master Examiner. His experiences span a variety of sectors, both as an internal change agent and consultant. Working in healthcare, service, education, manufacturing, small business and nonprofit sectors, Theron’s career purpose has been built around achieving a triple aim: workforce wins, customer wins, and organization wins. In his role of Executive Director of Performance Excellence Northwest (PENW), Theron supports and guides organizations through a process where they have results-based conversations about what they do, where they are going and what needs to be done to get there using the Performance Excellence Framework.
Outside of that role, Theron is an avid soccer fan, former college referee, has been married 32 years with two adult children, loves hiking with his dog in the PNW and is learning to play the bass guitar. Laura Kinney, as a former Chair of both Seattle and Spokane ASQ Geographical Communities, Laura is excited to partner with PENW and Theron Post for this presentation!
Currently, Laura Kinney lives in Halifax, MA and is the Vice Chair and acting director for Partners in Performance Excellence – a regional Baldrige non-profit that serves MA, NY, RI and CT. Laura has worked at both large and small healthcare delivery systems, including MultiCare Health in Tacoma, WA, Virginia Mason Memorial in Yakima, WA, Geisinger Health in Danville, PA and most recently, Signature Healthcare in Brockton, MA. She has been on the leadership team and an examiner trainer for PENW, has been an examiner at the Baldrige National level since 2006 and a Master Examiner since 2018.
Laura has leadership responsibilities with ASQ as the Vice Chair of the Conference Board and technical program committee for the annual Lean and Six Sigma conference. For fun, Laura can be found walking around the cranberry bogs behind her house with her Labrador, Eli, and missing the mountains of the Pacific Northwest and the great friends she has in this region (and the Seahawks, of course). But she loves living 45 minutes from Cape Cod and Boston, where she has lots of family close by.
