Astrid was born and raised in Mexico City, Mexico, and she graduated as a Biochemical Engineer from Escuela Nacional de Ciencias Biologicas in Mexico City. She has two daughters, 16 and 24 years old, two cats, and two dogs. All of her family lives in Mexico City.
She has been working in the pharmaceutical industry for 31 years, all in quality - everywhere in quality, actually. She started her career with Eli Lilly and Co. and became part of Elanco seven years ago. Throughout her career, she has been able to support a great variety of platforms and locations, from API to parenterals. In her current role, she is responsible for Global Quality Compliance, Quality Systems and Auditing for Elanco.
