Dear Fellow ASQ Manitoba Section Members,
As we close the chapter on 2024, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to each of you. This year has been one of remarkable achievements, made possible by your unwavering dedication and contributions. Whether as a member, volunteer, or leader, your efforts have been pivotal in the success of our activities and events—both in-person and online.
From insightful learning sessions to meaningful networking opportunities, 2024 has demonstrated the strength of our community and our shared commitment to advancing quality in Manitoba. Your engagement, passion, and support have fostered a thriving environment for professional growth and collaboration.
To our member leaders, I extend my deepest appreciation for your dedication, vision, and hard work. Despite your demanding professional and personal schedules, you have consistently stepped up, driving the success of our initiatives. It has been an honour to serve alongside such an exceptional team of leaders.
Looking ahead to 2025, I am excited about the opportunities that lie before us. With your continued support, we aim to raise the bar even higher. To ensure our programming aligns with your needs, we will launch a survey in early January. Your feedback will guide us in tailoring 2025 activities to your goals—whether it's accessing quality resources, pursuing certifications, or building valuable connections within the ASQ community.
I encourage you to remain actively engaged and consider volunteering if you haven’t already. Together, we can strengthen the culture of quality across Manitoba, creating lasting impacts on our organizations, industries, and communities.

2024 Section Member Recognition

Special recognition goes to Andreas Rodenberg, our long-standing financial secretary, for his
dedication and exceptional commitment. Andreas attention to detail and financial expertise
has kept our section financially secure over the years. He goes the extra mile, to ensure accurate and timely accounting, providing timely updates as required and monitoring trends to keep us informed. Thank you, Andreas!

2024 Section’s Highlights

● May 8 | Conducting Marvelous Audits
o A highly engaging session led by a subject-matter expert, offering practical insights into effective audits. The event attracted over 70 attendees.
● May 12–15 | World Conference on Quality & Improvement (WCQI), San Diego, CA
o ASQ Manitoba section members and leaders joined global quality professionals to explore innovative processes, technologies, and strategies. Activities included concurrent sessions, case studies, workshops, and evening networking events.
● August 27 | Quality Connections: Empowering Excellence Through Networking and Insights
o This interactive networking event fostered meaningful connections and discussions about the role of quality in professional growth. The Section Chair presented on Quality – Beauty in the Eye of the Beholder.
● November 7 | Positioning for Success: Growth Strategies for Quality Professionals
o A focused session providing valuable growth strategies for quality professionals.
● December 17 | ASQ Manitoba End-of-Year Meeting & DEIB Training
o A Member Appreciation Night celebrating our growing membership (44 members and counting). The event included training and discussions on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB), alongside networking opportunities.
