Hello Spokane Section 0619!
I hope everyone is having an enjoyable and safe Summer. With Fall right around the corner, it’s
time to start thinking about electing our new ASQ Spokane Leaders for 2027 and where you
could make a difference. You have probably already seen an email or two from ASQ HQ on the
topic.
I can’t express how important it is to get new ideas and fresh perspectives from new Member
Leaders. Member Leaders are essential to keeping the Section alive and growing. As our
Section grows and gets stronger, new and exciting opportunities can be brought to the table
and planned. As the idiom goes – Many hands make light work.
Our section has grown by more than 50 people lately with the addition of many Columbia Basin
members joining after they made the very difficult decision to dissolve their section.
Fortunately for us, several of those Member Leaders joined our Leaders and have been
contributing enormously to the Spokane SLC (Section Leadership Committee).
Please consider becoming a Member Leader for 2027. Bring your unique knowledge and
talents, new perspectives, and quality mindset and together we can continue to grow the
Spokane section and provide even more member value.
I should also add, it’s never too late to volunteer in a non-elected role. The section is always
looking for people who want to provide content for Presentations, Newsletters and Social
Media content; or simply contribute ideas to Section leadership.
