5S in personal space- the KonMari Method

  •       In the  conventional sense the 5S-Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain. In the covid era, the 6th S-Safety became very significant. This applies to the Customer Supply chain processes.

  •     We have a nice break from the monotony of quarantine(s).

  •     Marie Kondo, organizer, author, TV host, and creator of the KonMari Method, has an idea for how we can put that time inside to good use.

  •     Throughout quarantine, many of us have turned to online classes for much-needed stimulation. “People were spending more time than ever at home, so this course was an opportunity to help them tidy up and rediscover their joy,” says the tidying guru Marie Kondo.

  •    “Rather than a dreaded task, I see tidying as a celebration. It’s an act of gratitude for the items that support you every day — and the first step to living the life you’ve always wanted”.

  •     The magic of tidying will help people to create a bright and joyful future — especially during these unprecedented times. The home was now our offi, and gym.ce, school

  •     Keeping it tidy and joyful is more urgent than ever.

Hello Girish!

My wife and I heard about Marie Kondo just as we started our lives together. While we certainly did toss some items that didn't "Spark Joy" during quarantine, and even more during the move into our first home, we didn't have a whole lot of clutter as a younger couple starting out.

How this has really shaped our lives is by helping us create a shared commitment to keep our house free of clutter - even as we expanded our household to include 2 children.

This commitment is most evident today in our minimalist approach purchasing decisions, and our daily routine of tidying up the entire house after the children are put down each night. This allows us to start each morning anew with a cleaner home and a clearer mind!

Thanks for the post!
