Abstract:  How to Achieve ASQ Recertification and Review of Recent Changes in the 2024 Recertification Handbook

After initial certification, one must carry out specific professional development requirements to recertify every three years and provide documentation in support. All activities must relate or correspond to at least one area of the Body of Knowledge (BoK) for an individual’s certification(s).

Continuing Competency refers to the demonstration of specified levels of knowledge, skills, or abilities not only at the time of initial certification, but throughout an individual’s professional career. ASQ mandates maintenance of one’s credential through activities that reinforce continued competence. Maintaining one’s ASQ certification is crucial to professional growth, fluency, and status within the industry and is a mandatory requirement of certification. The recent changes for 2024 will be reviewed and this session will focus on a few examples of paths one may choose to achieve re-certification in the future.

o   A quality professional with a full-time job

o   A quality consultant only working part-time

o   A retired quality professional

For more information on recertification see Quality Recertification - How to Recertify via Exam or Journal | ASQ

She has extensive experience in GxP audits, supplier quality programs, and inspection readiness. She is an ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) and an active ASQ member since 2015. Short Term Investment Fund for ASQ Sections

The Short-Term Fixed Income Investment offers a great chance for sections with excess cash reserves.

Funds needed to support member unit operations during the next 90-180 days should continue to be held in Billhighway checking accounts. Funds not needed during the next 6 months should be considered for short-term investment.

It's structured to reflect something like to a 1-week Treasury bill, its largest component.

This AAA-rated approach offers flexibility and a return rate reflective of short-term market trends.

Sections can invest or remove funds once a quarter.

The most recent return rate for Billhighway was 0%.

The most recent return rate for the fund was 5.28%.
