About the Speaker

Anthony Carra is Owner, Principal Consultant and Instructor with Business Improvement Group Consulting, LLC.  Mr. Carra is a trusted advisor in the areas of problem solving, process excellence and applied statistical methods across various industries, although most commonly in the medical device industry.  He is a contributing author for “The Medical Device Validation Handbook, 2nd ed.”, published by the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS).  Mr. Carra’s degrees and certifications includes a Masters of Applied Statistics from Penn State University, Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, ASQ Certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt (MBB), ASQ Certified Manager of Quality / Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) and PMI Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

About the Speaker

David Small is a skilled professional with a diverse background. After earning a Horticulture degree from Western Kentucky University, he dedicated 15 years to working on and managing golf courses. In the late 1990s, he transitioned to manufacturing at Virtus Precision Tube and found his niche in the quality department starting in 2001.

 

In 2005, David joined ASQ and has since been a valuable member, serving as Chair and Treasurer for the South-Central Kentucky section since 2016. Additionally, he spent 5 years as a senior Baldridge Framework Examiner for the Kentucky Center for Performance Excellence (KyCPE).

 

In the summer of 2020, David assumed the role of Regional Director for the East South-Central Region, overseeing Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, and Mississippi. His journey exemplifies dedication to continuous improvement and leadership within the quality profession.
