The inaugural First R.A.M.S. Europe Conference was a great success. We documented a landmark event that brought the R.A.M.S. conference to Europe for the first time, uniting a vibrant community of experts from industry, academia, and government.
Held in Amsterdam on August 6–7, 2025, under the theme “Reliability Foundations,” the conference underscored the critical importance of revisiting the core principles of reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
We were honored to feature two keynote addresses: Nripendra Patel (ASML), who shared industry insights from one of the world’s leading semiconductor manufacturers, and Diego Galar (Sisteplant & Luleå University of Technology), who explored the interplay of reliability, data, and AI in shaping resilient systems. Their talks set the tone for a rich set of technical sessions, panel discussions, and tutorials led by distinguished experts.
This inaugural event was made a resounding success by the active participation and brilliant contributions of our community. I extend my deepest gratitude to every speaker, author, sponsor, and volunteer. Your commitment was instrumental in creating a dynamic environment for learning, networking, and collaboration.
Papers will become available on IEEE Xplore
As you explore these papers, I trust you will find inspiration and practical knowledge. It is our hope that these proceedings will serve as a lasting and valuable resource for professionals and researchers dedicated to engineering a more reliable and safe world.
Sincerely,
