Position Summary: Automatica NA is seeking a QA Inspector for its new Westerville, OH location. The QA Inspector will report to the site manager and be under the general supervision of the Quality Management team at Automatica HQ in Kefar Sava, Israel. The QA Inspector is responsible for performing visual inspection operations including In-process, Final Inspection, and FAI’s as appropriate. The Quality Inspector will also assist in verification of test data and all other applicable data concerning components, and associated documentation and other duties identified by management.
Salary, Benefits, and Advancement Opportunities: The QA Inspector will start at a salary of $60,000-$75,000,based on experience. Daily Responsibilities will Include:
· Inspects a variety of mechanical mechanisms and products for defense and aerospace use, using measuring/inspection instruments with proper inspection techniques.
· Reads, interprets, and utilizes Quality policies, procedures, mechanical blueprints, and other documentation
· Responsible for First article Inspections and completes related documentation
· Complete and ensure inspection documents are kept current to include FAI inspections per AS9102
· Perform and complete internal containment activity of identified non-conformances
· Act as a Source Inspector
Qualifications for Success:
· Experienced quality individual in visual inspection of mechanical and electromechanical components, sub-assemblies and assemblies of defense/aerospace machined components
· Experience in performing FAl's -AS9102
· Experience with inspection instruments
· In-process and final inspection experience within defense industry preferred
· IPC, J-STD, and Mil-Spec inspection experience preferred
· HS diploma with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 4 years of relevant experience required
· 2+ years' experience as a quality inspector
· 2+ years' experience in an aerospace manufacturing facility
· 2+ years' experience in inspection duties, and FAl's
· U.S citizen or permanent resident required
