Thank You...

Thank you so much for granting me this scholarship. I find it hard to make time for my academics, athletics, and partial work when I get the chance. This goes to help pay off my college and since I am coming back a 5th year to run, I will need extra money to pay for the semester. Again, thank you so much; it means so much that you are willing to give out scholarships to students.

Biography About Myself. Including My Goals For The Future:

My life goal is to become the most successful person I can be whether that is through my job as an educator or as a great husband, father, and role model. My career plan is to graduate Winona State University and try and find a job as soon as possible. I want to teach either middle school or high school math as well as coach cross country. I want to find a teaching position in a rural community where I can grow my family, my profession, and my relationship with the community.

What class, campus activity, and/or member of the campus community has had the most impact on your Winona State University experience? Why?

I am a part of the Winona State cross country team. I feel like this team has brought me numerous opportunities, meet my lifelong friends, and allows me to compete for a great school. I have the best support here with the athletic department, my amazing coach, wonderful teammates, and friendships that will forever be a part of me. Winona is a special place and I am confident I chose the right path because of the opportunities given to me.

What has been my most memorable moment at Winona State University so far?

I think traveling on the bus rides and competing with my teammates on the cross country team has been the most memorable. The time spent is endless and it goes by in a blur. The team camaraderie and bonds we have formed in the long bus rides will never be forgotten. There is something special about giving your greatest effort in a race and then bonding over it; I love this sport and this team whole heartedly.
