Overview: Did you know that there are different kinds of conflict? Did you know that as a leader, you should invite and encourage some conflict? Do you know how to reframe or redirect dysfunctional conflict?
In this brief webinar, we’ll take a look at some “rules of engagement” for managing conflict on teams in the workplace. Specifically, Dr. Angela Spranger will walk through types of conflict, make the case for encouraging conflict on your team (within specific boundaries), and describe five different conflict handling styles (based on the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Scale®). You will identify your native style and those you have seen at work, and practice identifying when a different style is more appropriate for the conflict at hand.
About the Presenter: When you have issues of ineffective communication, difficult team dynamics, or poor collaboration, and you recognize that things could be better… you need a validating diagnosis. When you have a vision for a dynamic, healthy organization, and need a little help figuring out how to influence your teams to move in that direction… you need a plan and a facilitator.
