Presenter: A federal service veteran with over 25 years of experience, Maria has cultivated a versatile background in organizations like the Army, Marine Corps, Smithsonian Institution, and Department of the Army Casualty and Mortuary Affairs Center (CMAOC). Her career has been defined by a passion for Continuous Process Improvement (CPI), a skill honed through a Lean Six Sigma (LSS) training program implemented during her tenure with the Marine Corps. This led to an M.S. in Organizational Development and Knowledge Management from George Mason University and LSS Black Belt certification. A firm believer in the "work smarter, not harder" philosophy, Maria skillfully combines an early adoption of technology with a people-centric approach, recognizing that the key to problem-solving lies in working directly with those involved in any process.
