WEBEX ONLY:  See Registration Link Below

Abstract:

In the pursuit of safer and more reliable automotive systems, Knowledge-Based Engineering (KBE) integrated with Artificial Intelligence (AI) presents a transformative approach to risk mitigation and design optimization. This paper explores how AI-powered KBE frameworks can enhance reliability by automating decision-making processes, reducing human error, and ensuring compliance with stringent safety standards.

By leveraging historical data, design heuristics, and predictive analytics, AI-driven KBE systems can proactively identify potential failure points, optimize component design, and streamline verification procedures. Case studies will illustrate how AI algorithms, when integrated with engineering expertise, enable real-time risk assessment and adaptive learning to improve system robustness.

The discussion will highlight applications in vehicle safety validation, structural integrity assessments, and predictive maintenance, demonstrating tangible benefits such as reduced development time, enhanced accuracy, and improved regulatory compliance. The paper will also address challenges in AI adoption, including data reliability and system validation, offering insights into best practices for successful implementation.

By bridging engineering intelligence with AI capabilities, this approach not only enhances reliability but also fosters a proactive safety culture in automotive development, aligning with the industry’s mission of ‘Safety through Reliability.’
