Abstract:
Successful onboarding of new hires starts on day 0; the day that the offer goes out the door and your new hire accepts. As a hiring manager, building strong communication and trust upfront, as well as creating a welcoming environment, is essential for helping new employees feel good about their decision to join your team. Don’t wait until your new hire walks in the door to plan and prepare for a successful onboarding experience. Bethany will be sharing her experience of both good and bad onboarding, and the system she has put in place to guide new team members and get them up and running quickly. This is especially important for hiring newest generation of college graduates or those with limited work experience. This presentation is geared more towards professional roles but there will be take aways for all levels of employment.
