Description: This webinar explores how to make change effectively by considering both operational impacts as well as the organizational effects of change. Attendees will be led through a real-life case study of change at a newly established Federal Authority that required effective change management and resulted in measurable process improvement.

Presenter: Ms. Farington is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and founder of KTech, LLC that specializes in financial management and cybersecurity. Kim recently retired from the Federal government after more than 33 years of government service. In her last Federal position, Ms. Farington served as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer for the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet), and oversaw all budget, financial, accounting, and reporting operations as well as human resources, facilities, security, and all other administrative functions for the Authority. Kim also led the development and implementation of FirstNet’s Budget, Financial, and Costing Tool (BFACT), a solution now being utilized throughout the Federal government. Ms. Farington’s extensive government career includes positions at the White House Office of Management and Budget, US Department of Agriculture, the US Office of Personnel Management, and the Department of Defense. In addition to being a CPA, Kim also is a Certified Telecommunications Network Specialist, a former Board member of Excelsior College’s National Cybersecurity Institute in Washington, DC, former President of the Association of Government Accountant’s (AGA’s) Washington DC Chapter, and currently serves on the Indiana University – Indianapolis Campus Advisory Board and as a Managing Member of AGA’s National Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEIA) Council. She holds an Associate’s degree from Indiana University, a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Excelsior College, received a Certificate for Executive Leadership in Artificial Intelligence from the Partnership for Public Service, and achieved a Harvard Kennedy School Executive Certificate in Public Leadership.
