Abstract: No firm exists in isolation, and every firm must operate in connection with other firms. As firms work together, they become organized into supply networks. In this meeting, I will share with the members my research projects on the changes in supply networks.

Bio: Dr. Yang (Sophie) Yang is an Associate Professor of Operations and Supply Chain Management in the Department of Marketing, Management and Supply Chain at University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). Dr. Yang received her Ph.D. degree in Supply Chain Management from Arizona State University. Her main research interest is supply networks. Her current research projects include the influence of supply network on firms’ competitive actions, and supply network changes due to major events. She has published in Journal of operations management, the International Journal of Operations and Production Management, Journal of Supply Chain Management, and Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management. She is also the faculty advisor of ASQ student association at UTEP.
