Visual Welding Inspection.

Randy Emery, Retired Welding Educator with over 30 years of experience delivering welding instruction from entry to advanced levels. I have also developed and delivered custom welder training for various private companies. My work has involved the development of welding and manufacturing internship programs and other OJT projects. Lifetime member of the American Welding Society and current Board member. Also, a 40-year member of the United Association of Plumbers and Pipe Fitters. Dedicated to advancing welding education, ethics, and professional standards.
This presentation / discussion will cover the basic knowledge needed to be a more productive and effective visual welding inspector practitioner. We will cover some of the first educational steps needed to start an inspector’s educational plan. We will also work to identify your current inspection level and possible next steps for continuous improvements. This session will also include possible training resources and options for self-studies.
You will want to attend if you are interested in expanding your knowledge of Welding inspection best practices, planning to pursue a Certified Welding Inspector’s certification from the American Welding Society, needing to be a more effective communicator as it relates to welding or are planning to expand your quality assurance work into welded products or services.
This presentation will be of dual mode: in person and online, thanks to the facilities of College Of the Sequoias (COS) Training Resource Center.
