Optimizing Everything – How Designed Experiments are Being Used

When:  Apr 23, 2025 from 06:30 PM to 08:00 PM (ET)
Associated with  Dayton Section

Join us on Wednesday, April 23rd, 2025 for the Dayton Section meeting, when Jeff Cole will present "Optimizing Everything – How Designed Experiments are Being Used."

Overview:  Did you know you are the “victim” of designed experiments on a daily basis?    No, we’re not talking about conspiracy theories or HR putting a chip in the base of your skull during employee orientation!   Statistically designed experiments (DOE) are an advanced tool and key part of a quality professional’s toolbox.   In this presentation we venture outside the typical manufacturing application to see how they are being conducted behind the scenes every day in multiple industries.

Sadly, we won’t be diving into the statistical details of fractional factorial designs, orthogonality, or scanning residuals.   We will however, have an entertaining talk where you’ll learn some of the odd and interesting ways DOEs are being used – and possibly come away with some application ideas for your organization!
