ABSTRACT:
Why the Quality Professional should learn and embrace the Baldrige Framework, even if their employer is not currently pursuing excellence…
-
Holistic Improvement: The Baldrige Framework provides a comprehensive approach to organizational performance.
-
Proven Success: Organizations that adopt the Baldrige Framework often see significant improvements in performance metrics, including customer satisfaction, employee engagement, and financial results.
-
Organizational Learning and Innovation: The Baldrige Framework emphasizes continuous improvement, organizational learning and systematic innovation.
-
Benchmarking Excellence: Baldrige provides a benchmark for excellence, enabling organizations to compare their performance against the best-in-class role model orgs.
-
Systematic Approach to Problem-Solving: The Framework promotes a systematic approach to addressing organizational challenges.
-
Recognition and Credibility: Achieving recognition at the State level and/or National Baldrige Award can enhance an organization’s and the professional’s credibility and reputation.
-
Employee Engagement and Empowerment: The Baldrige Framework emphasizes workforce engagement and development, aligning with quality professionals' goals of creating empowered and motivated teams.
-
Professional Development: Participation as an Examiner on a Baldrige Assessment Team provides the opportunity for the Quality professional to expand their network, learn best practices, and bring those best practices back to their employer for replication. (*Note: CQA certification is not required to become an Examiner – a Baldrige Assessment is NOT an Audit –but prior experience as an auditor helps strengthen the assessment process).
This presentation will introduce the Baldrige Framework for organizational performance excellence, discuss the WIIFM for Quality professionals, briefly compare Baldrige to ISO, discuss the role of PDCA and Lean Six Sigma in performance excellence, introduce SWAE’s value proposition, products and services, and communicate the benefits of SWAE as a valued partner of ASQ. Details of the next Examiner Training session will be announced.
