The Vermont Section 0112 is seeking nominations for the Leaders of the Section, for a one-year term serving from JAN 1, 2025 to DEC 31, 2025. To serve in any position, you must be a full ASQ member in good standing and a member of the section. We are seeking candidates for the following:
Section Chair: oversees all Section activities and committees, and Section’s strategic direction; represents Section to ASQ. Term limit of two consecutive terms. High participation in all monthly meetings is important.
Secretary: maintains official Section’s records/minutes; coordinates other official correspondence. No term limits apply, but generally look for two terms of service. High participation in monthly leadership meetings is important.
Treasurer: maintains all Section financial records, conducting most transactions (via online registration systems), and maintains Section banking through an ASQ provided financial system. Term limit of two consecutive terms; seek individual willing to hold two consecutive terms. High participation in monthly dinner and leadership meetings is critical.
Membership Chair: is responsible for section efforts to recruit and retain members, ensuring member value and satisfaction to promote section growth. Maintain membership and activity information for the section.
Audit Chair: coordinates and manages the audit of section financial information as determined by Society policies and procedures.
Program Chair: plans and implements educational programs, activities and events for the Section such as guest speakers, workshops, professional networking opportunities, conferences and/or special seminars
Arrangements Chair: Oversees arrangements for all regular meetings of the section and other special programs and conferences as assigned by the Section Leadership Committee or other committee chairs.
Nominating Chair: identifies and nominates, with the section leadership committee, qualified individuals for the minimally required elected section positions of chair, secretary, and treasurer. Serves as the point of contact for elections for next year’s section officers.
Social Media/Webmaster: develops and maintains a continuous reliable source for section information via the Internet, with primary responsibility in updating the Section myASQ webpage.

Nominee must be willing to serve all the roles and responsibilities of the nominated position. Section Leaders receive an RU Letter for their service at the end of the year.
