April 2025 ASQ Section 508 Monthly Meeting
Please join us at Adelphia Restaurant in Deptford on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, for our April Section Meeting. Manny Veloso and Rosa Melton will present “We vs. Me – Building a Lean Army”.
For ongoing sustainable success, it’s not enough to train people in Lean. Creating a culture of Continuous Improvement requires one other critical component than applying Lean tools to improve a process. Building a “Lean Army” requires a great leader who can motivate people to step out of their comfort zone to implement changes.
Being a Lean professional doesn’t necessarily make someone a great leader, while a great leader may know nothing about Lean.
Lean leaders rise to the challenge of developing a “Lean Army” of practitioners who think and act like owners. Hire for attitude and train for skill. Employees will grow as leaders through learning and experience. Participants will see examples of how to enrich their CI initiatives by integrating Lean and leadership skills in their practices and become the Lean Leaders other people want to work with.
You know who those leaders are. And so does everyone else. Admit it!
Lean leaders successfully implement CI initiatives using essential Lean AND leadership skills sets.
