Strong teams are the foundation of successful organizations, yet many teams struggle with challenges that prevent them from reaching their full potential. In this session, Adam Caldwell will explore The Five Dysfunctions of a Team, a well-known framework that identifies the common pitfalls that can undermine teamwork and performance.
Participants will learn how trust, conflict, commitment, accountability, and results play critical roles in building effective teams. Adam will share insights on recognizing these dysfunctions and practical approaches leaders and team members can use to create stronger collaboration and improved outcomes.

Speaker Bio:
Adam Caldwell is a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) with extensive experience in manufacturing, process improvement, and team facilitation. He currently works with Michelin North America, where he has served in several roles including Project Industrial Engineer, Area Industrial Engineer, Strategic Studies Engineer, and Dedicated Project Manager for tire line projects. Adam has also served as a Bib Tools Tutor for North America, helping teach Michelin’s internal methods for Kaizen and SMED improvement initiatives.
Prior to Michelin, Adam worked at Perrigo Company, where he held roles including Administrative Assistant, Process Engineer, Warehouse Manager, and Lean Sigma Black Belt.
Adam specializes in rapid improvement projects and facilitating teams to achieve significant results in a short period of time. His professional strengths include lean manufacturing, machine cycle analysis, plant production systems, training, method development, project management, and team facilitation.
Adam is also a former Chair of the ASQ section and previously served as a member of the section’s leadership board, where he supported the advancement of quality professionals and local programming.
