Presentation Title: Novel Applications of Quality Improvement

Summary of presentation:
This presentation explores innovative and impactful ways quality improvement (QI) tools are being used beyond traditional industry settings. Highlights include a success story from Licking Heights Local Schools, where a student-led DMAIC project transformed operations at the "Hornet's Corner," demonstrating the power of youth-driven problem solving.

The session also showcases how traditional QI tools were applied to improve budget and operational planning for ADA mandated transportation services in Southern California, an example of how these methods can drive equitable access and resource optimization in public services.

To bring these concepts to life, attendees will participate in a contemporary, hands-on activity designed to deepen understanding of variation, a key concept in QI, and empower individuals to make better informed decisions in their own environments.
