Title: “'Planning and Analysis of Reliability Demonstration Tests”
Abstract This presentation will illustrate the process of setting a reliability goal and then demonstrating conformance to that goal with test data. The standard format for a reliability goal is that the product will be X% reliable for X (time or cycles) with X% confidence under X use conditions. Demonstration tests can be planned to collect either pass/fail or time-to-failure data and we will cover the advantages of collecting time-to-failure data. We will show the step-by-step planning and analysis steps in Minitab and JMP software.
